We've shipped preserved moss art all over the world from right here in Austin, but we've never done this before: gotten a small group of people in a room to actually make something with their hands.
On September 19 at 11-1 PM, Mosstique is hosting our first-ever in-person moss art workshop, in partnership with Hoamsy, at Sweetwaters Coffee & Tea in downtown Austin. Space is limited to 15 people, so if you've been wanting to try moss art for yourself instead of just admiring it on a wall, this is the one to grab.

What to Expect
You'll spend the morning hands-on with real preserved moss, guided by the Mosstique team, creating your own piece to take home — no prior craft experience needed. It's a small, relaxed group setting (15 people, coffee shop energy, not a lecture hall), so expect plenty of one-on-one guidance if you've never worked with preserved moss before.
If you've read our guide to preserved moss wall art or tried one of our DIY kits at home, this is the in-person version of that experience — except this time, you'll leave with a piece you built yourself, in a couple of hours, alongside other plant and design lovers in Austin.

We get asked constantly whether we offer classes, and up until now the honest answer was no. This workshop is us testing that in person, in the most Mosstique way possible: small group, real materials, a finished piece to take home, and zero pressure. If it goes well, expect more of these.

Do I need to RSVP separately?
No. There's no separate RSVP — purchasing your ticket through Hoamsy is your spot.
What's included in the ticket price?
Your ticket covers your seat in the workshop, all moss art materials and tools, guided instruction from the Mosstique team, and the finished piece you make to take home.
Do I need any experience with moss art or crafting?
No experience needed. The workshop is designed for beginners, with guided instruction throughout.
How many people can attend?
The workshop is capped at 15 people to keep the group small and hands-on. Tickets are first-come, first-served through Hoamsy.
